 Business cycle: A predictable long-term pattern of alternating periods of economic growth and decline. The cycle passes through four stages: expansion, peak, Contraction, and trough.Repetitive cycles of economic expansion and recession.

 Corporate restructuring: The activities involving expansion or Contraction of a firm's operations or changes in its asset or financial (ownership) structure.

 Peak: The transition from the end of an economic expansion to the start of a Contraction.
